
Matthew Blasi received his BA in English from the University of Florida. He has published short stories and nonfiction in Florida magazines. His post-MFA plans are to go on for a Doctorate in contemporary American Literature. His studies and honors work include comparative media studies in American fiction and paratextual storytelling operations.
Darcy Cummings has an MA in Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Poetry from The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University. Her book, The Artist As Alice, won the Bright Hills Press Award and was published in 2006; poems have appeared recently in The Drunken Boat, Runes and Natural Bridge, and in the anthologies Orpheus and Company and Not What I Expected. She has received fellowships from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the Dodge Foundation, and the Virginia Center for the Arts.
Timika Elliott graduated from Rutgers
University at Camden with a BA in English. A Virginia native, she
has served in the U.S. Army as a photojournalist for various military
publications. Her genre of interest is southern gothic as well as
science fiction. She resides in Mount Holly, NJ with her husband
and children.
Peter Gambino graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in English, and minors in Education, Writing, Film, and Religious studies. Peter has worked primarily as a screenwriter. An avid moviegoer and self-proclaimed "comic book nut," Peter also enjoys filmmaking and in 2007, was awarded the New Century Cinema Fan Favorite award for his short film "GB: On Call."
Brian Heston spent the last eight years in Florida, New Hampshire, and northern Virginia. He has a BA in English from Burlington College in Vermont, an MA in English and Poetry from The University of New Hampshire, and an MFA in Fiction from George Mason University. His poetry has appeared in West Branch, The Bitter Oleander, Slipstream, Poetry Southeast, Gargoyle, The Portland Review, and others. His fiction has appeared in Flashpoint and Ourstories.
Jillian Ashley Blair Ivey is a writer/actor/aspiring chef/publicist, happy to add another "slash" to her occupations. Jay McKeen has a BA in physics/math from Rutgers-New Brunswick, an MA in Administrative Science from Farleigh Dickinson University, and is about to receive his MA in English from Rutgers-Camden. His hobbies inclue competitive chess and masters track and field: shortput and discus. He is married and the father of three children. He is the Chief of Police of Hamilton Township, New Jersey.
Leslie Rapparlie has a BA in Environmental Studies and the Techniques and Applications of Writing from Gettysburg College and an MS in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Raised in Englewood, Colorado, she has also lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Zealand and Minnesota. She has published nonfiction books on adventure sports and articles on educational philosophy. Leslie's hobbies include yoga, rock climbing, backpacking, and kayaking.
Zachary Roesch, from North Austin, Texas, received his B.A. in English from Texas State University with a focus in creative writing. He had to leave most of his records somewhere in Texas, but he loves the sound on music on vinyl.
Rachel Estrada Ryan earned her BA in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is married with three young children. She has completed her first novel, and has recently focused on personal essays and freelance magazine journalism while researching her second novel. To date, her nonfiction has appeared in Philadelphia Weekly, The Pennsylvania Gazette, and AAA World. She runs a freelance writing and graphic design business, Both is Better LLC.
Julie Strasser graduated with a degree in English with a writing concentration and Religion in May 2006 from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After graduation, she attended the Publishing Institute at the University of Denver. A South Jersey native, Julie currently works in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office on the Camden campus. Her primary focus is creative nonfiction.
Jeannette Tryon has a BA in music from Rutgers in Camden and master degrees from Temple University in music and creative writing. She is a registered nurse and has practiced in emergency, surgical, and intensive care settings. She is married and has a son. Her short fiction has appeared in Bellowing Ark, Literal Latte, and Clackamas Literary Review.
Kristen Voget recently completed her BA in Writing from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. She writes mostly creative nonfiction and a bit of poetry. Kristen spends a lot of her time outside and owns a kayak which won't do her much good in Philly. Hobbies include skiing, doing puzzles, cooking, and collecting globes.
Chris Vogt-Hennessey received her BA and MA in English from West Chester University where she also minored in art and concentrated in poetry. For the past five years she has taught literature and writing locally. In addition to pursuing her MFA, Chris is currently working with cold and warm glass in her studio, making jewelry, windows, and other functional art objects for her business, Ripple Glass Works. She resides in Philadelphia with her genius husband and extroverted turtle.
Daniel Wallace grew up in London, but has spent the last five years living around the world, with most of that time spent between Syria, Taiwan and China. He gained a BA in History from the University of Warwick, and, while working as an analyst at the Bank of England, studied a Postgraduate Certificate in Economics at Birkbeck College in London. Then he left home to begin traveling and writing, and now speaks intermediate Mandarin and cooks an excellent Thai green curry. Eric Zrinsky received a BA in English and a Certificate in Writing from Drexel University in Spring of 2008. A musician and an avid writer of poetry and prose, he has recently self-published his first book, Night Windows and Other Short Stories.
