The MFA Program is able to offer a number of teaching assistantships to incoming students. These TAships include a stipend ($36,395 in 2024-2025 school year) and tuition remission. Currently, the exact number of teaching assistantships varies from year to year. Other students may be admitted with partial scholarships that cover tuition for a certain number of credits per year. These students may seek work in other offices on campus, including graduate fellowships.

Through a gift from Holman Community Grants, we are pleased to be able to offer two $1900 stipends to graduate students interested in working in the Growing Great Writers program, offered through the Writers House. Read more about the program here. If you are interested in applying to be a teaching artist in this program, please note your interest in your personal statement. (Note: this application process has completed for the 2023-24 academic year).

Other support may be available through the Graduate School. Please see the GSAS Scholarships page for more information.
