Two annual writers’ conferences have helped make Rutgers-Camden the
epicenter of the Delaware Valley literary community.
For twenty years, nationally-known novelists, memoirists, poets, agents and editors have joined Rutgers-Camden students for an intensive summer program of workshops and readings. For MFA students who wish to study during the summer, the conference offers a unique opportunity to meet prominent writers and publishers in the classroom, over coffee, and at readings.
MFA students can participate in the Rutgers-Camden Summer Writers’
Conference twice for credit toward their degree.
Rutgers-Camden also sponsors the annual Spring Writers‘ Conference, a one day conference open to the community, featuring presentations, workshops, and readings.
MFA students will meet and study with an accomplished group of
Visitors in Residence. These writers, agents and editors will both
read and conduct workshops.
