Graduate Student Organization
The Graduate Student Organization is a dynamic group of dedicated students from our MFA program. Joining the organization is a great way to meet other MFA students and build writing community outside the classroom. The organization hosts our Student Reading Series, supports the Cooper Street Journal, secures funds to help students attend the Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference, and organizes the welcome party each fall for incoming students and the graduation ceremony each spring. All students enrolled in the MFA program are welcome and encouraged to join!
Rutgers Radicals is a student group whose mission is to address the ways race, gender, sexuality, class and other aspects of identity intersect with reading, writing and teaching. Meetings provide a safe space for students to open dialogues concerning these issues and their relationships to existing power structures and continue conversations started outside of the meeting space. All are welcome.
